Many people assume that because I am such a big Disney fan, I must love EVERY Walt Disney film ever made. That is simply not the case. I do indeed like a great many Disney Films, and there are very few classic Disney tiles that I don’t like at all. However, there are several that I just do not enjoy. Some of the early animated titles, such as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinnichio, and Cinderella are films that I don’t particularly enjoy. I do occasionally watch them however, for historical reasons.

Many people tend to have the wrong idea about stories for children and children’s books, which have been around for much longer than you think. For example – when do you think that the story about Robin Hood was written? Would it surprise you to learn that the original story was written by Thomas Malory some 560 years ago? Well, it was, and many stories such as this one have been around for far longer than we imagine. Another good example is Charles Perrault, a French writer who lived from 1628 to 1703. Perrault “invented” the fairy tale in the middle years of the 17th Century, and some of his more famous stories include the Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella, Puss in Boots, and Little Red Riding Hood.

After careful consideration of the movies I have seen in my time, I have come to the conclusion that all those fairy tale, Disney movies like “Aladdin” and “The Little Mermaid” comprise a large part of my movie repertoire.
When I was younger, those movies were always interesting because that princess was the prettiest and those animals could talk. And guess what! Everyone always seemed to live happily ever after. While they were all similar enough, they each had their own appeal.

I hate The Secret. I’ve heard enough crap about the law of attraction to last me through five lifetimes.
Fact is, I think the positive thinking gurus are messing with your brain.
At a minimum, they are only giving you part of the picture.
And why not? You want to think positive thoughts, surround yourself with visions of life with millions of dollars, and “Poof” have it magically appear! Of course you want to imagine your success, sit back, and watch the universe provide. Who wouldn’t?
Do nothing and get rich. Dream and become a millionaire. Sign me up!
