Denmark is a country located in Scandinavia. The main part of it is Jutland, which is a peninsula in the north of Germany. There it is the seat of Viking raiders, and later it becomes a major power of north Europe. Denmark evolves into a modern and prosperous nation after it participates in the general political and economic integration of Europe. However, the country is out of European Union’s Maastricht Treaty and the European monetary system.
